ReplyDeleteI am always so impressed with what you do. And not just artistically, but with your whole life. Growing up with you has been a blessing. You have always been the kind of woman I aspire to be like. Smart, strong, funny, beautiful, and kind-hearted. That is why I was sad to read your blog about SAHMs being devalued in our society today. I believe that any job a woman does is important, whether it be in the work force or in the home. Your opinions and ideas are just as important as the women at a 9-5 job. It is upsetting to me that people don't always respect SAHMs for all that they do or appreciate all the time and strength it takes to accomplish all that YOU have: decorating a house beautifully, maintaining your intelligence and values, loving a husband and 2 children, and raising those kids to be the most well behaved and smart youngsters I've ever had the priviledge to know (and call family), and all the while you do this with style, beauty, and grace.. other women should be so lucky. It is a shame our society doesn't always value SAHMs and give them the credit they deserve. Best we can do is speak up when confronted with these negative ways of thinking. I love you. And I'm behind you.
